1. Overview
Color Tap is designed without advertising, third-party analytics, behavioral tracking, developer-operated backend servers, or developer-operated user accounts. You do not need to create an account to play.
This policy covers the Color Tap iPhone app. The Color Tap pages on cxie.dev do not load analytics or advertising scripts and do not set optional analytics cookies. The pages are delivered by Firebase Hosting, which processes incoming IP addresses to detect abuse and provide usage information. See Firebase privacy and security information.
2. Data stored on the device
Gameplay progress, settings, loadouts, token balances, achievement progress, personal statistics, and run history are stored locally on your device. Core gameplay works without an internet connection.
3. Game Center
Game Center is optional. If you use it, Color Tap submits scores and achievement totals and may display Game Center player names and leaderboard results. Apple processes this information under Apple’s Privacy Policy and its Game Center terms.
4. In-App Purchases
Consumable token packs are handled by Apple through StoreKit. Color Tap receives transaction status and verification information needed to deliver purchased tokens. Color Tap and Colin Xie do not receive your payment-card details. Consumable token purchases are not restorable like non-consumable purchases.
5. Photos
Color Tap accesses Photos only when you explicitly ask it to save a score card. The app adds the requested image and does not browse or read your photo library.
6. Data sharing and sale
Colin Xie does not sell personal information and does not share Color Tap app data with advertisers or data brokers. Color Tap has no ads or third-party analytics SDKs.
7. Data retention and deletion
Local game data remains on your device until the app or its data is removed. Deleting Color Tap normally removes that locally stored data. Apple-controlled Game Center, purchase, and device-backup records are governed by your Apple account, Apple settings, and Apple’s policies.
8. Children’s privacy
Color Tap does not knowingly collect personal information from children through developer-operated services because it does not operate user accounts, analytics, advertising, or backend data-collection services.
9. Third-party services
Optional Game Center and StoreKit features are provided and processed by Apple. Learn more in Apple’s Privacy Policy. Website delivery is provided by Firebase Hosting as described above.
10. Policy changes
If this policy changes materially, the revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
